Tech seems sexy and somehow valuable to us as consumers so the valley-ites might have us believe. I agree because once again I’m self publishing an opinion on a state of the art tablet while watching Netflix as my son surfs play d’oh videos on his iPad. The tech we use comes with very long and well written surrender clauses, the surrender of our privacy. But who really cares? Clearly I don’t. I wonder if storing, selling, tracking and managing our digital behavior will ever become “too big to fail”? The very fabric of the only economy we have left besides speculation could be the trafficking of our digital behaviors with the inability to opt out.
